Where it works
Styling ideas for floor lamps
Beside a reading chair
Place it slightly behind and to the side of the chair so light falls over your shoulder.
In an empty corner
A tall lamp in a dark corner makes the whole room feel larger and warmer.
Next to the sofa
Pair with a side table lamp at a different height to create layered light.
FAQ
Floor Lamps questions
Can't find your answer? Our lighting specialists reply within one business day.
How high should I hang this light?
Over a dining table, leave 30–36" between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture. In walkways, keep at least 7 ft of clearance underneath.
Is this fixture dimmable?
Most fixtures are dimmable with a dimmable bulb and a compatible wall dimmer. Check the Specifications tab or contact us to confirm for this product.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician. Table lamps, floor lamps and plug-in sconces are ready to use out of the box.
Are bulbs included?
Bulb details are listed in the Specifications tab. We recommend warm white (about 2700K) LED bulbs — see our Light Bulbs collection.
