Where it works
Styling ideas for table lamps
On a nightstand
Choose a lamp whose shade bottom sits at about eye level when you are sitting up in bed.
On a console table
Use a pair to frame art or a mirror, or one lamp balanced with a stack of books.
On a desk
Position the lamp opposite your writing hand to avoid shadows on your work.
FAQ
Table Lamps questions
Can't find your answer? Our lighting specialists reply within one business day.
How high should I hang this light?
Over a dining table, leave 30–36" between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture. In walkways, keep at least 7 ft of clearance underneath.
Is this fixture dimmable?
Most fixtures are dimmable with a dimmable bulb and a compatible wall dimmer. Check the Specifications tab or contact us to confirm for this product.
Do I need an electrician?
Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician. Table lamps, floor lamps and plug-in sconces are ready to use out of the box.
Are bulbs included?
Bulb details are listed in the Specifications tab. We recommend warm white (about 2700K) LED bulbs — see our Light Bulbs collection.
What if it doesn't suit my space?
